Sophie Linley is a Legal Recruitment Consultant at Ablethorpe Recruitment, assisting lawyers in their job search both domestically and internationally. Sophie is legally qualified and has been working in Legal Recruitment since 2013, both within Australia and the UK, focussing exclusively on the recruitment of legal professionals at all levels.

Practice Specialisation

Sophie’s clients constitute a mix of Australian and International Top Tier, Mid Tier and Boutique Law Firms, and a range of in-house teams across ASX listed and international companies. Sophie also assists across international recruitment for Ablethorpe, with a focus on the UK market.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Ablethorpe, Sophie was a U.K. based Legal Recruitment Consultant with top legal and IP recruitment company Sacco Mann, specialising in the recruitment of solicitors into private practice law firms.

Sophie’s experience to date includes assignments for international heavyweights, national and regional commercial firms and smaller high street practices. She has facilitated moves across an array of legal practice areas from transactional M&A to personal injury litigators. Sophie is confident in assisting lawyers at all stages of their careers from their first appointment through to partnership.

Sophie prides herself on building strong relationships with both clients and candidates and a truly consultative approach. In keeping with Ablethorpe Recruitment’s commitment to employ people with real industry knowledge, Sophie also holds a Masters in Law from Northumbria University, Newcastle. During her time at university, Sophie volunteered assistance on pro bono legal matters and spent time working for local law firms.
